Winter Vol 2 compilation press release for Bigo & Twigetti
The Bigo & Twigetti record label will release a new compilation of Winter-themed music at the end of this year, with new tracks released regularly in the months leading up to the full compilation becoming available. I have created a press release for the release of the first two tracks, and will produce new press releases for each new track drop and the arrival of the full compilation.

A decade on from the release of their original Winter compilation, Bigo & Twigetti announces the follow-up, Winter Vol. 2, once again bringing together new music inspired by winter from artists on the label. Tracks will be released over the coming months, before the full compilation is available on 27th December.
How to interpret the theme has been left completely up to each composer. There is music inspired by everything from the formation of snowflakes to the feeling of calm solitude in a remote landscape.
Today, the first two tracks from the compilation are released, Dust of Snow by Garreth Broke and Mari Kanki, and Alba's Winter Night by Javi Lobe. Both are solo piano pieces inspired by winter landscapes.
Inspired by the Robert Frost poem of the same name, Dust of Snow is co-written by Garreth Broke and Japanese musician Mari Kanki. The latest in a series of pieces by Garreth inspired by different landscapes, Dust of Snow subtly changes as it takes in different aspects of the images evoked in the Frost poem, from the broad landscape, to the falling snow and trees heavy with white.
The compilation’s opening track, Alba’s Winter Night by Javi Lobe captures the serene transition from night to dawn on a cold winter's morning. Delicate melodies are seamlessly blended, evoking the stillness and quiet beauty of a winter landscape as it awakens to the first light of day.
Garreth Broke and Javi Lobe both have tens of millions of plays of their music, and have made numerous editorial playlists across all the major streaming services. They have also had support from radio stations including KEXP, BBC Radio 3, BBC Sounds, NPR and WNYC.
Bigo & Twigetti’s original Winter compilation was released in 2014 and featured folk, classical and electronic music from artists including Jim Perkins, Antonymes, Leah Kardos, and Madeleine Cocolas. The first themed compilation put out by the label, it remains a mainstay of the company’s catalogue. So it felt only right to mark its tenth anniversary by expanding on it with more music from artists who have joined the label over the last ten years.
Other composers who have contributed to Winter Vol. 2 include pianists Ben Crosland and Franco Robert, violinist Fiona Brice, ambient producers Hior Chronik and Moshimoss, and composer duo Biba Dupont.
Through to the end of the year, as the weather grows colder, more tracks from Winter Vol. 2 will be revealed. The full release schedule is as follows:
